Store & Clean
-
Truffles are best stored in the refrigerator in a large jar.
-
Each wrapped in a paper towel to prevent them getting wet.
-
Change the tissue paper to avoid the build-up of moisture and to retain aroma.
-
If they grow a little white mould, brush it off under running cold water and dry the truffle before replacing it in the fridge.
-
Before you’re ready to eat, remove any dirt with a soft brush (e.g toothbrush) .
-
Do not use hot water or soap to clean the fresh truffles.
-
Truffles are best enjoyed as fresh as possible.
